Hi and welcome to Inspired By JD, my name is Tamara and I'd like to tell you alittle about how my company was started.........

 

I am a mother of two beautiful boys Mitchell and Jordan and for the longest time I have been a busy working away from home mum. I always felt guilty that I wasn't there for my children as much as I wanted  to be. I always felt like they missed out on my time.

 

In all of  the  jobs I worked in, I gave my all.l worked tiredlessly

did the fill in shifts always worked when I was sick stayed back just to get extra work done. I'm sure you all know this story all to well.

 

Even though I gave my all to these businesses I didn't always receive the respect and grattitude back. I had bosses that took advantage of my strong work ethics and good nature.  

 

So one day after the company I was last working for closed down without any warning and I was left with a month of pay owing I was so down and my self confidence was gone.

 

I didn't want to start over again I didn't want to go back into the work force only to be treated badly again and again.

 

It was  then when I was home with my youngest son that I started doing crafts and bits and pieces for him that I had this bright idea HEY why don't I start my own business and that's exactly what I did.

 

I have always had a love for my home and the things in it, Ive always tried to make my home look and smell as beautiful and as welcoming as I could. This generally meant it had to be on a small budget as let's face it  we aren't rich.  YET!!!!!

 

So I wanted to create a business around my passions  candles

and homewares and bring them to the public who I hoped would enjoy them just as much as I do.

 

My son Jordan was the main inspiration for this business (although everything I do is for my children)  hence why my business is named Inspired By JD.

 

I started in my little kitchen making soy candles and slogging them to as many markets as I could go to, then I started to build on my range into homewares and jewellery.

 

The early market starts are a shock to the system but it allows me to be out in the public gaining feed back also allowing me to connect with the people who are purchasing my  products.

 

I've met so many beautiful people who have made my journey this far so worth while and satisfying

 

I am  over joyed that my customers are as passionate about my products as i am and I hope that you will be too.

 

From working from my kitchen we have now had to expand to cater for all of our buyers so here we are on your computer screens and you will also find our store location on the contact page.

 

 From humble begins I thank you all for making my  little dream be such a big success now and for many years to come.
